Intern - Quality Assurance Engineer (Digital Health Pvt Ltd)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intern - QA Engineer to join our growing team working on a cutting-edge healthcare platform. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, security, and compliance of our web and mobile applications and APIs that power vital healthcare services for patients, doctors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API components.

Perform functional testing (manual and automated) to verify features against requirements and user stories.

Conduct non-functional testing including performance, security, usability, and compatibility testing.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.

Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA or similar issue trackers.

Participate in CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into the deployment process.

Contribute to continuous improvements of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Ensure all testing activities comply with healthcare data security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Support production deployments and perform post-release validation as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • hands-on experience in QA for web, mobile apps, and APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar).
  • Experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of secure testing practices, especially in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Nice to Have

Experience testing healthcare applications or working with healthcare data and compliance standards.

Basic scripting or programming knowledge for test automation frameworks.
